Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a full refund of any money paid as part of the contract. However, if the training course takes place during the cooling-off period and you take part in the course, you cannot change your mind, even if the cooling-off period is still running.
Chatfield Training will make all efforts to avoid cancelling or rescheduling any course, but such action may regretfully be necessary in exceptional circumstances. In such cases we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible along with the offer of a free transfer to another course date, or a full refund of fees paid.
Where such cases occur with less than 24 hours prior to the course start, we will first make efforts to contact the course booker via telephone and will then confirm this with an email.
If you have to cancel a learner’s attendance for a course and are unable to transfer the booking to another available date at the time of cancellation, the following charges will apply:
More than 2 weeks notice prior to course: No charge
1-2 weeks notice prior to course: 50% of course fee
Less than 1 week notice prior to course: Full fee, no refund
Cancellation or transfer must be made in writing and received by Chatfield Training within the required notice period.
Where courses have been offered free of charge, Chatfield Training reserves the right to decline to reschedule your course free of charge if you cancel with less than one week’s notice of the course start date.
If a learner does not attend a course, and we have not previously been informed, the full course fee remains payable.
Learners may be required to bring identification (Driving Licence, Passport, Staff ID card, Citizen ID card) to confirm their identity. Please check your booking confirmation email carefully.
Attendance at all training sessions is mandatory. If learners arrive late for a course or any part thereof, or are absent from any session, Chatfield Training reserves the right to refuse to allow them to participate in the remainder of the training course if we feel they will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable.
Where a learner’s demeanour and/or general behaviour affects the harmony of the learning environment and disturbs the enjoyment of the course for other learners, that learner will be asked to leave the course. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable.
