  • With Health and Social Care carrying one of the highest rates of musculoskeletal injuries, and costs to businesses and taxpayers in the billions, proper training in the safe moving and handling of patients is essential.

    This course follows the All-Wales Manual Handling Passport scheme outline, and will provide learners with all the knowledge and skills required to implement safe behaviours and ways of working when supporting individuals with moving and handling.

    On completion, successful delegates will receive a certificate, valid for 3 years.

  • 2 days (12 hours, plus breaks).

  • Face-to-Face course.

    This training is provided in your care environment, using your equipment. We will ask you to provide us with a list of your peeple-handling equipment (hoists, slings, stand-aids etc) to ensure it is included in our course delivery.

    • Legislation

    • Musculoskeletal disorders

    • Ergonomics & risk assessment

    • Team handling & communication

    • Inanimate load handling

    • Sitting, standing and walking

    • Bed mobiity

    • Handling a falling/fallen/collapsed person

    • Hoisting
