First Aid at Work

This 3-day course aligns with the HSE’s guidance for First Aid at Work and will equip you with the skills to be able to recognise and manage a range of injuries and illnesses.
The course is assessed through ongoing practical observations and an end-of course written assessment.
Candidates will need to be physically able to carry out first aid, including performing CPR on the floor.
Upon completion, successful delegates will receive a certificate, valid for 3 years.

Topics covered in this course include:
Roles & responsibilities of a First Aider
Primary survey (DRABC)
Dealing with unresponsive casualties
Emergencies including heart attack, stroke, shock, anaphylaxis and choking
Injuries including wounds & bleeding, minor injuries, bones, muscles & joints, spinal injuries and burns
Medical conditions including asthma, epilepsy and diabetes
