First Aid at Work

  • This 3-day course aligns with the HSE’s guidance for First Aid at Work and will equip you with the skills to be able to recognise and manage a range of injuries and illnesses.

    The course is assessed through ongoing practical observations and an end-of course written assessment.

    Candidates will need to be physically able to carry out first aid, including performing CPR on the floor.

    Upon completion, successful delegates will receive a certificate, valid for 3 years.

  • 3 days (18 hours, plus breaks).

  • Face-to-Face course, either at your venue or through one of our open-access courses.

  • Topics covered in this course include:

    • Roles & responsibilities of a First Aider

    • Primary survey (DRABC)

    • Dealing with unresponsive casualties

    • Emergencies including heart attack, stroke, shock, anaphylaxis and choking

    • Injuries including wounds & bleeding, minor injuries, bones, muscles & joints, spinal injuries and burns

    • Medical conditions including asthma, epilepsy and diabetes

  • £240 per person (non-accredited) / £260 (L3 QNUK accredited).

    Maximum of 12 learners per course.
